About the Role
As the Business Development Manager for Queensland, you will be responsible for:

Generating new business across food, produce, meat, and FMCG customers

Managing and nurturing existing customer relationships
-
Providing tailored packaging solutions to meet client needs
-
Contributing to national sales growth and territory development
-
Collaborating with internal teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes

Reporting on sales performance and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
Annual target: $1 million in new revenue
Location: Brisbane (with regular regional travel)
Key Responsibilities

Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities

Build and manage strong client relationships across SME and enterprise segments

Understand technical requirements and propose fit-for-purpose packaging solutions

Prepare and present pricing proposals and commercial offers

Ensure CRM records, reporting, and forecasting are up to date and accurate

Deliver regular client engagement and face-to-face meetings
-
Collaborate with operations, marketing, and technical teams
Key Metrics of Success

Achieve $1M+ in new annual revenue

Secure 5–8 new active accounts in Year 1
-
Achieve 90%+ retention rate across existing accounts

Maintain a $3M+ rolling sales pipeline
-
Conduct 8–10 client meetings or site visits monthly

Convert 30%+ of qualified proposals into active business
Your Background
-
Proven B2B sales experience, ideally in packaging, FMCG supply, or related industries
-
Track record of exceeding $500k+ in annual territory sales

Strong relationship and solution selling skills

Comfortable discussing technical product specs with customers

Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite
-
Self-driven and comfortable working autonomously in the field

Willingness to travel regularly across metro and regional Queensland
