Business Development Manager – Transport Solutions

A well-established Australian logistics and supply chain solutions provider is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join its growing Brisbane team.

For more than two decades, this privately owned organisation has partnered with businesses across Australia and internationally to optimise freight, warehousing, and eCommerce fulfilment operations. Known for its consultative approach and strong customer relationships, the company delivers scalable solutions that help organisations reduce operational costs, streamline supply chains, and improve delivery performance.

With continued growth across key markets, the business is now expanding its commercial team and looking for a driven BDM who can identify opportunities, build relationships, and deliver tailored logistics solutions to customers.

The Opportunity

This is a true hunting role focused on generating new business across freight, logistics and supply chain services. You will work closely with internal operations and technology teams to deliver customised solutions that support customers across Australia and globally.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identifying and developing new business opportunities across freight, warehousing and supply chain services

• Building relationships with key decision-makers across industries including retail, manufacturing, distribution and eCommerce

• Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to proposal and close

• Developing tailored logistics solutions that improve efficiency and reduce cost for customers

• Collaborating with internal operations and customer success teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery

• Maintaining an active pipeline and consistently achieving new revenue targets

Solutions You’ll Be Selling

The business offers a broad portfolio of supply chain solutions including:

Freight & Logistics
Carrier selection, route optimisation, scheduling and domestic/international delivery management.

3PL Warehousing
Inventory storage, order fulfilment and returns management through strategically located facilities across major Australian cities.

eCommerce Fulfilment
Flexible fulfilment and shipping solutions designed for growing online retailers operating domestically and globally.

Packaging & Consumables
Consultative supply of warehouse and industrial packaging solutions.

Logistics Technology
A proprietary cloud-based freight management platform that enables customers to compare carriers, book shipments, and track freight in real time through a single interface, supported by an Australian-based operations team.

About You

We’re looking for a motivated sales professional who thrives on building new relationships and winning new business.

You will likely bring:

• Proven business development experience within freight, logistics, 3PL or supply chain services

• Strong prospecting and pipeline generation skills

• A consultative sales approach and the ability to understand complex logistics challenges

• Experience engaging with operations, procurement or supply chain stakeholders

• High levels of drive, resilience and commercial acumen
