Territory Sales Manager – Hardware Retail Channel
Northern Beaches / Central Coast NSW
A leading supplier within the construction, hardware and trade distribution sector is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to manage and grow a well-established territory across the Northern Beaches and Central Coast of NSW.
The business is a long-standing industry leader with over 60 years of heritage supplying trade-quality hardware and fastening solutions to the building and construction industry across Australia and New Zealand. Its products are widely used across major construction, infrastructure and industrial projects and distributed through both trade and retail channels.
This role focuses on the retail hardware channel, calling on independent hardware stores as well as some accounts within national hardware groups.
The territory also includes a monthly regional run into the Riverina, typically involving around one week of travel every four to five weeks.
The Role
This is a field-based Territory Sales role responsible for managing and growing an established customer base.
Approximately 80% of the role focuses on developing existing accounts, with the remaining focus on identifying and converting new customers across the territory.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing a defined territory through structured call cycles and strong customer engagement

Growing share of wallet within existing customers by expanding product ranges

Increasing in-store presence through merchandising and promotional activity

Identifying opportunities to introduce additional product lines into hardware retail accounts

Conducting commercial discussions around pricing, promotions and product placement

Monitoring competitor activity within stores and ensuring strong brand visibility

Identifying and developing new hardware retail accounts across the territory

About You
To succeed in this role you will likely bring:

Experience in territory sales, field sales or account management

A track record of growing revenue within existing accounts

Confidence introducing new product ranges and increasing distribution

Strong relationship-building ability with store owners and managers

Commercial awareness around pricing, merchandising and promotions

The ability to work independently and manage a regional sales territory
Industry experience that would be highly regarded:
Experience working with independent hardware stores, Mitre 10, Home Hardware or similar retail groups will be viewed favourably.

Package
On target earnings sit at approximately $150K+, including:

Base salary circa $110K – $120K

Car allowance (~$16K) plus fuel and tolls
