About the Role

Youโ€™ll be responsible for generating new business, developing strategic accounts, and growing revenue across your assigned territory. Working closely with internal technical and commercial teams, youโ€™ll engage with clients across mining, energy, manufacturing and infrastructure sectors to deliver high-value, fit-for-purpose electrical solutions.

This role is ideal for a consultative industrial sales professional with a strong understanding of customer operations, engineering challenges, and value-driven selling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make proactive contact with prospective clients across the territoryLead discovery sessions to understand client needs and solution alignment
  • Develop proposals in collaboration with internal commercial and engineering teams
  • Present compelling value propositions and close deals
  • Conduct regular territory planning, forecasting and sales analysis
  • Manage full sales lifecycle from opportunity identification to post-sale support
  • Analyse competitor activity and market trends to refine sales strategy
  • Develop and maintain strong pipeline visibility in CRM
  • Plan and execute client meetings, presentations, and site visits
  • Attend tradeshows, expos and industry events as a brand ambassador
  • Collaborate with wider sales and business development teams to cross-sell solutions
  • Report regularly on territory performance, gaps and growth strategies

Your Background

โœ”๏ธ Minimum 5 years of technical B2B sales experience (electrical, automation, heavy industrial preferred)
โœ”๏ธ Proven track record in consultative selling and meeting or exceeding targets
โœ”๏ธ Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, or Marketing (preferred)
โœ”๏ธ Skilled in territory planning, pipeline management, and strategic account growth
โœ”๏ธ Familiar with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
โœ”๏ธ Strong communication, presentation and organisational skills
โœ”๏ธ Highly self-motivated and able to manage your time and activity with minimal supervision
โœ”๏ธ Commercially astute with understanding of ROI, risk mitigation and capital purchasing behaviour
