About the Role

As Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for expanding market share across a defined territory, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing. Your focus will be on securing profitable freight forwarding opportunities (air, sea, road) while maintaining CRM discipline and collaborating with internal service and operational teams to deliver outstanding results.

This role reports directly to the Head of Sales and plays a key role in contributing to the division’s broader commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and profit growth targets

  • Identify, engage, and convert new customers within key industry verticals

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through consultative solution selling

  • Monitor competitor activity, economic conditions, and supply chain trends to inform sales strategy

  • Accurately manage your pipeline and reporting through the company’s CRM system (Salesforce preferred)

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded

  • Provide monthly reporting to senior management on key performance metrics

  • Travel as needed for customer meetings, site visits, and industry events

Your Background

  • Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain services

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred

  • In-depth understanding of the freight forwarding market and service offerings

  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage profitable customer pipelines

  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and organisational discipline

  • CRM fluency (Salesforce desirable) and intermediate Excel proficiency

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
