About the Role
In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for delivering sales growth across key national accounts—Coles, Woolworths, IGA, and selected wholesalers—while managing a small but capable field sales team. Your focus will be on category development, trade planning, and driving profitable growth through strong customer partnerships.
You’ll be responsible for both strategic sales leadership and hands-on key account execution.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of a national retail and wholesale sales strategy

Manage top-to-top relationships with Coles, Woolworths, and IGA at a head office level

Oversee trade investment, promotional planning, and pricing strategy across accounts

Develop field sales KPIs and support in-market execution via team leadership

Identify new customer opportunities and lead negotiations to secure shelf presence

Analyse sales data and category trends to inform account-specific strategies

Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and marketing teams to ensure alignment

Provide regular forecasting and performance reports to regional leadership
Your Background

7+ years in FMCG sales with direct experience managing Coles and Woolworths

Proven experience in key account management, trade marketing, and national retail execution

Previous leadership of field sales or commercial account teams (even if small scale)

Commercially astute with strong negotiation and customer development skills

Comfortable operating in lean, high-growth environments where speed and ownership matter

Hands-on, team-oriented, and data-literate with a strong growth mindset
