About the Position

The Key Account Manager plays a crucial role in steering the strategic direction of the Distribution, Key Accounts, and On-Premise teams across the country. This position is geared towards a dynamic leader who can manage multiple priorities and foster strong relationships both within the company and externally in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically manage and lead the sales teams across various locations to meet and exceed set sales objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive sales strategies and plans to effectively roll out across all key markets.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop a world-class sales team, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
  • Create and implement detailed sales reports and performance metrics to monitor and enhance team productivity.
  • Manage budgets effectively, including promotional and tactical planning for different account types.
  • Engage actively in trade associations, representing the company and building robust relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Oversee multiple building locations with direct responsibility for 4+ managerial-level staff.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • At least 7 years of experience in a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) or consumer goods environment.
  • A minimum of 6 years in personnel management, demonstrating proven leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and professionally to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with expertise in process improvement and problem-solving.
  • Robust knowledge of P&L management and the ability to use this information to drive business decisions.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
